Responsibilities      

• Responsible for safeguarding cash, chips and other negotiables in a high volume casino.


• Provides constant flow of cash and chips to the Specialty Banks and to all cage cashiers by purchasing redeemed Slot tickets, foreign currency, fills and credits, etc.


• Department verifies and coordinates the transfer gaming revenue.


• Monitors cash needs of the property for operating purposes in order to make recommendations to a supervisor and orders from the bank accordingly.


• Acts as liaison to accounting by auditing and forwarding all Slot tickets and all paperwork such as cage accountability, checkout sheets, Cash turn in reports, variance reports, W2Gs, copies of checks, etc.


• Records cage variances and reports to appropriate authority.


• Responsible for maintaining I.D. holds.


• Prepares bank deposits and the Jackpot checkbook.


• Ensures compliance with Tribal, State, Federal, and NIGC regulations.


• Ensures control/protection of company assets.


• Must learn, comprehend and comply with all company policies and procedures, MICS, Gaming Regulations and Title 31 requirements.


• Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.


• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Exceptional guest service skills required.


• Strongly prefer six months experience handling large sums of money; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Strongly prefer working knowledge of cashier window and specialty windows.


• Requires ability to operate a 10 key with speed and accuracy.


• Must possess excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages and ratios to practical solutions.


• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with department heads and employees.


• Should be skilled in solving practical problems and dealing with situations where only limited standardization exists.


• Should be skilled in identifying and resolving administrative problems under pressure conditions.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class A III gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency and Washington State.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with occasional sitting. Repetitive movements required from hands and fingers with the occasional bending from the waist. The position requires exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 5 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The position requires the ability to process information using computer methods and technology, at times for more than 50% of the work time. There are no adverse conditions, but employee is exposed to tobacco smoke on a regular basis. This is a 24 hour, 7 days a week work operation.
