About the Role
Atoms is transforming standard vehicles into autonomous-ready platforms, and we are hiring Vehicle Installation Technicians to perform the hands-on build work that makes it happen. You will remove trim panels and interior components, install sensors, brackets, and hardware mounts, route and connect wiring and electrical systems, and perform verification checks to ensure every build meets quality standards. This is a full-time, W2 contract role based on-site in San Francisco, CA.
What You Will Do
- Remove trim panels and interior components to prepare vehicles for integration
- Install sensors, brackets, and hardware mounts to specification
- Route wiring/cabling and connect electrical and low-voltage systems
- Follow detailed work instructions, diagrams, and technical documentation
- Perform verification checks and quality inspections
- Communicate issues clearly to supervisors and engineering teams
Schedule & Pay
- Pay: $30.00-$40.00/hour (W2)
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM OR 2:00 PM-10:30 PM (possible weekends)
- Location: On-site, San Francisco, CA
- Type: Full-time W2 contractor, ongoing
- Approximately 2 weeks of training (Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM) before transitioning to an assigned shift

Requirements
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of hands-on installation or assembly experience
- Experience with vehicle disassembly/reassembly, hardware mounting, and wiring
- Proficiency with hand and power tools and the ability to follow work instructions, diagrams, and technical documentation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Comfortable working around vehicles and performing physical tasks (standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching) throughout the workday
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Preferred Experience (a plus)
- Independent automotive repair shops or specialty facilities
- Automotive audio/sound system installation
- Automotive trade school training
- Building or repairing personal computers or hands-on technical projects
- Aerospace/aviation assembly or technician work
