Reports to Maintenance Supervisor

We currently have an immediate vacancy for a Vehicle Maintenance B Mechanic at our plant in Aurora. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Ability to diagnose and repair various operating systems from gantry cranes, Tuckerbilt, forklifts, spotter trucks, end loaders, air compressors and other vehicle related equipment.
• Knowledge and understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and DC electrical systems. 
• Ability to use and understand parts/service manuals and read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics. 
• Must be a self starter who works well with minimal supervision. 
• Must possess excellent time management skills for completing work orders/ tasks in a timely manner.
• Must have computer experience and knowledge of MS Office. 
• Must have basic welding abilities. 
• Willing to be on call 24/7. 

Requirements

• Able to demonstrate mechanical and electrical knowledge and repair abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple complicated priorities/tasks.
• Must exhibit strong judgment and decision-making skills.
• Self-starter who works well independently with minimal supervision.  
• Must have personal tool set.

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:

• High school/trade school diploma required.
• Requires a minimum of 2 years-experience in a related field. 
• Must be able to read, write and speak English. Spanish speaking highly desirable.
• Able to complete third party training courses within supervisor’s timeframe.

PHYSICAL DEMAND:

Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently.
