Vehicle Maintenance Technician\n\nJob ID: VEHIC013832 \nJob Title: Vehicle Maintenance Technician \nLocation: 1223 FAIRWAY DRIVE, SANTA MARIA, CA 93455 \nUnion: CWA 9586 - CBA 004 \nHiring Manager: Eric Romero \n# of Openings: 1 \nPosting Dates: 2/20/26- 3/5/26 \nWage Range: $25.09 - $48.58 per hour\n\nSummary: \nPerform maintenance and repair of internal combustion engines, derricks, transmissions, brake systems, electrical systems, including 12 volt DC, 110 and 220 volt AC, ignition and fuel systems, hydraulic systems, steering and running gear.\n\nGeneral Duties: \nDuties include, but are not limited to, the following: \n\u2022 Perform preventative maintenance checks. \n\u2022 Perform maintenance work, servicing, or replacing tires, batteries, lubricating chassis, brakes, oil, drive belts, hoses, etc. \n\u2022 Maintain automotive equipment service records. \n\u2022 Overhaul of transmissions, differentials, and hydraulic systems. \n\u2022 Overhaul of starters, generators and alternators. \n\u2022 May be required to perform additional duties and tasks as required by the Company.\n\nBasic Qualifications: \n\u2022 Tests - Results obtained in standard tests for this position must meet minimum requirements established by the Company, in accordance with Company policy. \n\u2022 May be required to attain a valid unrestricted California Commercial Driver\u0027s License, with any special certification needed (i.e., Special Construction Equipment Certificate, Radioactive Materials Certificate, Hazardous Materials/Waste Certificate, Tank Combination/Bulk Liquid Load Certificate), depending on the type of vehicle driven or load carried. If required at the assigned job site, must demonstrate proficiency in the operation of a vehicle equipped with standard (manual shift) transmission. \n\u2022 Must possess a valid License Smog Check Mechanic\u0027s Certificate at the time of appointment. License must be kept current.* \n\u2022 This is primarily a \"B\" shift job. \n\u2022 Must possess the ability to perceive difference in colors. \n\u2022 Must possess the ability to distinguish audible tones/levels.\n\nAdditional Information: \n\u2022 May be required to work day, swing, or night shift.
