Your expertise will be the driving force behind developing cutting-edge libraries and distributed messaging and control systems, a key element in our trailblazing autonomous driving platform. As a Systems Software Engineer, you'll spearhead the enhancement of both developer and production environments, contributing to our groundbreaking Software Defined Vehicle OS (SDV OS). This is your chance to be at the forefront of automotive innovation, shaping the future of autonomous driving with us!

Responsibilities

• Specify, design, and implement functionality for SDV OS such as messaging, networking, security, etc

• Work with messaging systems based on Data Distribution Service (DDS) spec ( https://www.omg.org/omg-dds-portal/ )

• Be responsible for the software and libraries used in SDVOS 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, equivalent practical experience

• Good command of C and C++

• Experience with or willingness to learn Rust

• Experience in Linux system software development, including distributed computing

• Understanding of distributed computing systems (set-up, usage, development, security)

• Familiarity with some modern distributed protocols or frameworks such as GRPC, Protobufs, SomeIP, DDS

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with DDS or ROS2

• Proficiency in Rust programming

• Working experience with containerized environments

• Knowledge and experience in automotive products

• Working experience with multi-site, multi-national and multi-contributor teams.

• Experience with microprocessors and *RTOS

Base Salary: $120,000 - $250,000
