🚗 Vehicle Technician – Advanced Automotive Systems
Location: Ann Arbor, MI | Employment Type: Full-Time - 3-month contract Salary: $30 - $40 per hour| Benefits: PTO, healthcare, 401k & more!
Schedule: Onsite - 8AM-5PM/6PM, 40 hours per week
Are you an experienced auto technician who thrives on working with cutting-edge technologies and delivering precision craftsmanship? In this role, you'll work closely with engineers and production specialists to disassemble and reassemble vehicle components, support prototype builds, and contribute to documentation that drives efficiency and consistency across the team.
🔧 What You’ll Do:
🧩 Disassemble & Reassemble Vehicle Components
Expertly remove and reinstall interior body panels, trim pieces, and wiring harnesses with minimal margin for error.
Ensure vehicle integrity and performance are preserved throughout the process.
🏭 Leverage Manufacturing Knowledge
Apply working knowledge of 3D printing, light metalwork, and plastic forming to support prototype and custom builds.
Collaborate with design and fabrication teams to enhance part fit and finish.
📋 Maintain Precise Build Documentation
Create and maintain detailed build instructions for repeatable, high-quality work.
Help standardize procedures for future builds and diagnostics.
🧠 Work with Advanced Automotive Technologies
Support the installation, calibration, and maintenance of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and modern infotainment technology.
Troubleshoot and assist in integrating new tech components during development.
✅ What You Bring:
5–7 years of hands-on experience as an automotive technician, with a strong focus on disassembly/reassembly of interiors and electrical systems.
Deep familiarity with modern automotive systems including infotainment and ADAS features.
Strong technical documentation and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable working in an R&D, prototype, or low-volume production setting.
🌟 Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in auto manufacturing, prototype builds, or custom vehicle assembly.
Familiarity with diagnostic tools, advanced systems integration, or sensor calibration.
Hands-on exposure to fabrication techniques like 3D printing, CNC machining, or sheet metal work.
