Shift: Friday – Sunday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Pay Rate: $26–$31/hour (Based on Experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced VTL Operator to join our team in Sand Springs. This position involves setting up and operating Vertical Turret Lathes to machine large, heavy components to precise specifications. Candidates must possess strong machining knowledge, blueprint reading skills, and a commitment to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate vertical turret lathes to perform turning, facing, boring, and threading operations
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements
• Select and install appropriate tooling and fixtures for each job
• Monitor machine performance and make real-time adjustments to ensure product quality and production efficiency
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators
• Perform routine maintenance and report any mechanical issues
• Maintain accurate production records and comply with all safety and quality procedures
• Work collaboratively with engineers and supervisors to address machining challenges

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience operating vertical turret lathes and similar heavy-duty machinery
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• High attention to detail and a strong focus on producing quality work
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
