Alpha Veterinary Center in Glen Burnie is adding an Associate DVM to our busy and thriving Veterinary Practice! This opportunity is open to candidates who have graduated from an accredited Veterinary school and qualify for (or already possess) licensure in the state of Maryland. Candidates with the following knowledge, skills and abilities are encouraged to apply!
Qualifications
Both experienced DVMs and new graduates are welcome! To assist us in taking excellent care of our patients, you should have the following education, experience, and qualities:
- Graduation from an AVMA accredited Veterinary Program.
- License to practice Veterinary Medicine in the state of Maryland, or qualify for licensure.
- Surgical experience highly desired!
- Eagerness to learn and interest in working with all animal types
- A positive, friendly demeanor is a must!
- Be knowledgeable and skilled in the practice of veterinary medicine and general soft tissue surgery
- Possess excellent marketing skills to justify and encourage diagnostic and treatment plans for patients and embolden follow-through by clients.
- A team oriented mind-set with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
- Continued interest in your professional growth, the growth and success of the practice.
- An educational approach to client communication. The more our clients know - the better care they can take of their pets!
Hours & Availability
This is a part or full time opening! Our current hours of operation are below:
- Monday: 8:00am - 6:30pm
- Tuesday & Wednesday - 8:30am - 6:30pm
- Thursday & Friday - 9:00am - 5:00pm
- Saturday - 9:00am - 1:00pm (Rotating Saturdays are highly preferred)

You would have the the option to see exotics or not see them.
