We are seeking a talented Veterinary Assistant to support our growing team as we add a new doctor to our practice! The Veterinary Assistant is vital in all aspects of our work in general practice – from client communication to patient care. You will work closely with our experienced, dedicated, and professional staff to provide best in class medical care to our patients.

Continuing Education:

We believe in helping you grow. Whether you're brand new or a seasoned pro. Veterinary Assistants here are eligible to receive unlimited CE reimbursement for things like conferences, wet labs, and skill-building courses (plus we’ll cover up to $750 per year in related travel expenses if needed). You’ll even have the chance to bring back what you learned and share it with the team. If you're excited about learning, we're here to support it, every step of the way.

What You’ll Do:

● Keep surgical tables/areas clean and prepped for procedures

● Aid clinical team with post-op patient recovery

● Document notes notes per Doctor’s or LVT’s request

● Maintain surgical instruments

● Support clinical team during patient consultations

● Assist with inventory management

● Fill/dispense medications per Doctor’s request

● Maintain clinical areas

What We Require:

● 1-3+ years’ experience as a clinical veterinary assistant

● The flexibility to work alternating Saturdays

● Confident in Fear Free handling and restraint techniques

● Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and an ability to clearly communicate with clients as well as colleagues

● The ability to adapt while maintaining a positive attitude

● Highly evolved organizational skills with an acute attention to detail

● The ability to work independently, responsibly, and ethically

● A resourceful nature and creative problem-solving skills

● An openness to feedback, coaching, and continuous learning
