Veterinary Assistant Mahomet Animal Hospital (Mahomet, IL)

Mahomet Animal Hospital is looking for a compassionate, dependable Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team. We are a friendly, community-focused practice committed to providing exceptional care to our patients and outstanding service to our clients.

About the Role:
As a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll support our veterinarians and technicians with a variety of daily tasks, including:

• Assisting with exams, treatments, and procedures

• Handling and restraining animals safely and compassionately

• Administering medications, vaccinations, and anesthesia under doctor's supervision

• Assisting with lab work, imaging, and surgical prep

• Providing client education and excellent customer service

• Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday, 8 am 6 p,m with one set weekday off each week

• Rotating Saturdays

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous veterinary or animal care experience preferred, but we’re willing to train the right candidate

• A positive, team-oriented attitude

• Strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent patient care

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
