Veterinary Assistant Full-Time (No Weekends)
Location: Oradell, New Jersey
Pay: Starting at $16.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Animal Care of Oradell, a privately owned small animal veterinary clinic, is looking for a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about animals and wants to support high-quality veterinary care in a positive, team-oriented environment.

You’ll work closely with our technicians and veterinarians, playing a vital role in ensuring the health and comfort of the pets we serve.

Primary Responsibilities
After training, your key duties will include:

• Safely restraining pets during exams and treatments
  
  

• Ensuring kennel areas are clean and comfortable
  
  

• Preparing medications accurately
  
  

• Updating patient records in our electronic medical system
  
  

• Assisting with curbside service and transporting pets in and out of the clinic
  
  

• Communicating with clients about their pet’s visit and follow-up care
  
  

We welcome applicants who are eager to learn and grow in a clinical setting. Training will be provided to candidates who bring strong communication skills and a passion for animal care.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience preferred
  
  

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
  
  

• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  
  

• Tech-savvy and able to learn new software quickly
  
  

• Positive attitude and genuine interest in veterinary medicine
  
  

• A team player who takes initiative and supports others
  
  

Work Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  
  

• No weekends
