Veterinary Technician Assistant - Dentistry and Oral Surgery

Heart of Texas is looking for a Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.

About You
Role Responsibilities:
As a Dentistry Veterinary Technician Assistant, you will work closely with the veterinary dentistry team to support both patient care and procedure preparation. Responsibilities include:
Assisting with patient intake and procedure setup
Supporting Fear Free handling techniques before, during, and after procedures
Maintaining cleanliness and readiness of the dental suite and hospital
Preparing, sterilizing, and organizing dental instruments and equipment
Ensuring proper stocking of dentistry-related supplies
Assisting with basic husbandry and patient monitoring when needed
Supporting accurate record keeping and communication with the team
- Other tasks as assigned
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Has knowledge of basic veterinary practices
- Comfortable handling animals using Fear Free techniques (Fear Free certification is a plus)
- Able to assist in veterinary medical procedures
- Recent experience in a veterinary practice highly preferred
- Schedule flexibility required
