Job Description - Veterinary Cardiologist - Green Acres Veterinary Center

Buffalo Veterinary Group, a leading specialty and emergency
hospital in Buffalo, New York is seeking a Board -Certified or Residency -Trained
Veterinary Cardiologist to join its growing, progressive team. The ideal
candidate will have extensive experience in Cardiology,
possess strong leadership abilities, and demonstrate a passion for providing
the highest quality of care to our patients.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a thriving referral
hospital that offers a dynamic caseload, state -of -the -art facility and
equipment, while working with a collaborative team of additional specialists
and experienced emergency clinicians. At BVG,
you'll have access to a full suite of advanced diagnostics, emergency care support and interventional procedures, all within a multi -specialty environment.

This includes:

• Full -spectrum echocardiography (including Doppler and contrast studies)
• ECG, Holter, and telemetry monitoring for in -clinic and at -home rhythm evaluation
• Blood pressure and radiographic diagnostics to guide targeted treatment
• Management of CHF, pulmonary and systemic hypertension, heartworm disease, and arrhythmias
• Hospital -based intensive care for cardiac emergencies
• Interventional procedures like balloon valvuloplasty, PDA occlusion, pacemaker placement, and vascular stenting
• Cutting -edge capabilities including catheter ablation, transesophageal echo -guided procedures, and hybrid surgeries in partnership with surgery teams
• Emergency therapies like heartworm extraction, pericardiocentesis, and vascular foreign body retrieval


Key Responsibilities:

·        Provide advanced Cardiac care to patients

·        Oversee and manage the Cardiology department

·        Develop and implement treatment plans for
critically ill patients

·        Collaborate with other veterinary specialists
and support staff

·        Mentor and train veterinary students, interns and technicians

·        Stay current with the latest advancements in
veterinary Cardiology

·        Participate in continuing education and
professional development activities

Compensation:

  • Starting
    salary $250,000 -350,000 (negotiable based on experience and credentials)
    plus bonus opportunity. Additional relocation assistance available

Requirements

  • Doctor
    of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
  • Licensure
    to practice veterinary medicine in the state of New York (or able to
    apply)
  • Board
    certification or nearing completion of residency program in applicable
    specialty area
