The client liaison is designed to streamline communication between clients and service providers by giving clients a dedicated point for communication. Liaisons are responsible for running communication between the ‘front of house’ and ‘back of house,’ and making sure the clients’ questions and concerns are efficiently communicated to the medical team treating the patients. The goal is to improve communication with clients and provide updates from the front of the house to the back of house, set expectations, and generally steward clients through the process of their time here at EPVMC.
Job Duties Included:
The Liaison should stay up to date on client invoices/estimates.
Be the point of contact for clients, to eliminate excessive phone calls between doctors and clients that can be answered by a liaison
Help doctors create treatment plans/estimates, and present them to clients at doctors’ request
Monitor that all treatments performed on in-house cases are charged appropriately
Keep doctors up to date on estimates, and notify them when approaching the high end
Answering ring-back phone calls
Take deposits on admitting patients
Monitoring e-mail for estimate decisions and keeping doctors updated.
Monitor and facilitate doctor/nurse communication from the EzyVet Communication tab/Otto or E-Mail (Returning labwork, general questions etc).
Client callbacks including negative labwork results, nonspecific findings on radiograph readouts etc
Help facilitate patient/client visits (scheduling with doctor, having physical space – clean, comfortable room)
Discharge patients
Currently, the role will only support the Emergency Services Position Reports to: Emergency Nursing Supervisor & Medical Director
