The Blackburn Vet, is a small animal veterinary practice, providing veterinary service at the highest level since 1977.  With an established core of committed clients, we are seeking a Veterinary Nurse, qualified or still studying to join our team.    

We are a very close-knit team who help each other out, have regular staff meetings where anyone's ideas are welcomed, team lunch and learns and lots of sweet treats! 

This position is a mix of reception and surgery shifts as well as a rotating roster for every third Saturday.    

Looking for someone with strong customer service skills, a passion for excellent animal care, a strong work-ethic, a can-do attitude and initiative, a love of life-long learning, and of course a love of animals.    

What we are looking for:     

• Ideally a minimum of 6 month’s experience in Veterinary Nursing role as to have an idea what the industry is like. Looking for the right fit as can learn along the way. 
• Trainee nurses encouraged to apply    
• An ability to work efficiently, both independently and as part of the team   
• Exceptional customer service skills   
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills   
• Demonstrated client relationship building skills   
• A hard-working and a hands-on approach to your work   
• Effective time management and organisation skills.
