We’re excited to share that Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Eatontown, NJ is looking for a Phone Operator to join our busy hospital team!

The Phone Operator plays a vital role within the Client Services Team, delivering exceptional service to our clients, referring veterinarians, and the entire GSVS team

About GSVS: We are a multispecialty practice with boarded veterinary specialists in Emergency and Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Dermatology, Cardiology, Rehabilitation, and Ophthalmology. We have also been treating felines with hyperthyroid disease with radioactive iodine since 2001!

As a Phone Operator, you’ll be one of the first voices our clients hear—so your role is super important! You’ll help keep things running smoothly by:

• Answering incoming calls quickly and with a warm, professional attitude


• Providing helpful information and support to clients


• Taking clear, detailed messages and making sure they get to the right team member


• Transferring calls to the appropriate person or department


• Scheduling appointments accurately and efficiently


• Building great relationships with our clients and referring veterinarians

About you:

• 1-year preferred experience in a client service role


• Excellent communication skills are expected as you will act as a liaison between the clients and the clinical staff


• Organized


• Multi-tasker


• Active listener


• Proactive and attention to detail


• Excellent communication skills


• Empathy and compassion for our clients


• Ability to be discreet and professional when appropriate


• Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community

Schedule Openings:

• Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, 9am – 7:30pm (Some holidays are required)

Salary: $21/hr
