Job Description - Veterinary Rehabilitation Client Service Representative
Animals Only is an integrative veterinary rehabilitation, physical therapy, and fitness clinic located in the Kearny Mesa area of San Diego. We offer specialized, high quality, science-based Western and Eastern treatments to pets in a beautifully-curated space under the direction of a licensed and rehabilitation-certified veterinarian. Our mindful space is designed to provide a truly holistic, whole-body veterinary experience.
We are a privately-owned, start-up clinic focused on modernizing the human and animal experience for our team, our clients, and our four-legged best friends. Essential Job Duties include, but not limited to:
Be an essential and responsible member of our patient care team and work closely with all other team members
Always exercise professional, patient, respectful communication
Have an organized approach to patient information gathering from clients and referring veterinarians
Work closely with practice manager to refine operation efficiency
Manage the daily flow / pace of the incoming and outgoing patients
Multi-tasking includes check-in process, check-out process, scheduling / rescheduling appointments, confirming appointments, sending and receiving patient records
Working with electronic medical record software, computer and phones
Be familiar with basic information about our treatments including water treadmill, laser, shockwave, massage, physical therapy / fitness, chiropractic, and Traditional Chinese Medicine
Maintain treatment rooms in accordance with hospital protocols
Assist with client education and communication in accordance with hospital protocols
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Have at least 2 years of veterinary customer service experience
Have a personal interest and/or experience with integrative medicine
Know how to pronounce common veterinary terms and give basic descriptions of the treatments offered at our clinic
Proficient and efficient computer and phone skills
Ability to use electronic medical record systems efficiently
Ability to assist all team members as needed, including veterinarians, technicians, practice manager, and other client service representatives
Ability to work both independently and as an essential part of a team
Ability to work with, restrain, and lift companion animals of all sizes
Ability to communicate respectfully and patiently with team members and clients
Details:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour based on experience
Full-time, Monday through Friday 8 hour shift
