Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Surgery Veterinary Technician to join the team at our private brand-new state-of-the-art building. We are excited to build a premiere nursing team comprised of technicians who enjoy caring for surgery patients, pay close attention to detail, and would like to advance their surgery and anesthesia nursing skills under amazing doctors (Board Certified Surgeons).

If you are passionate about providing exceptional Specialty Surgical care and prefer daytime shifts, we’d like to meet you!

Responsibilities

Triage pets as they arrive at the clinic.

Interview pet owners to obtain a patient history.

Take vital signs and acquire blood samples.

Administer medications and provide pre & post-surgical care.

Provide discharge instructions for clients.

Keep accurate anesthesia and patient records.

Both the Surgeons and nurses work closely as a team to provide the best care to our patients and recognize the treatment of patients that is needed for their ultimate care.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician (minimum 3 years)

Knowledge of animal care and handling

Possess a passion for teamwork and a willingness to learn

Exemplify principles of Quality, Integrity, and Compassion

Excellent communication skills

Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a busy environment

Patience and a love for animals

Client services experience

Compensation: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
