Veterinary Sterile Processing Assistant, CVRC

The Charleston Veterinary Referral Center is hiring a full- time Sterile Processing Assistant to join our outstanding Surgery team!

Compensation: $25-30/ hr based on experience and skill level

Schedule: 9am - 6pm, Tuesday - Friday

About the Role: The Sterile Processing Assistant will aid the Surgical Technologist and surgery team with cleaning and preparing operating rooms.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a sterile processing in a hospital or outpatient facility and knowledge of Medical/Surgical instruments in either human or veterinary medicine. Previous experience working in veterinary medicine preferred, but not required.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate, with strong communication skills.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Cleaning operating rooms, cleaning, assembling, and inspecting instruments, laundering cloth items, stocking surgery suites and hospital with supplies and sterile instrumentation, unpacking, checking and stocking new equipment, instruments and devices, sterilizing instruments with Ethylene Oxide and Steam methodization, and routine sterilization equipment maintenance.
• Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.
