Veterinary Technician

Qualifications
At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience as a Vet Tech strongly preferred
- Candidates with their Veterinary Technician License (or those who are currently enrolled in the course) are encouraged to apply
- The ability to work compassionately and confidently with our furry friends
- A super friendly and fun demeanor - this team works hard but has fun doing it!
- Dependability - as part of a small team, you are counted on to help things run smoothly
- Superior communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Passion for dogs and cats (and the ability to handle them) is a MUST!
Core Responsibilities
The skills you worked hard to gain will be appreciated and utilized fully at Alpha Veterinary Center! We will count on you to:
Expertly draw blood
- Place IV catheters
- Administer IV and subcutaneous injections
- Administrative duties as assigned
- Deliver excellent patient nursing care
- Manage Surgical prep, surgical, and post-surgical monitoring
- Provide superior client service, educating pet parents with a tailored approach
- Assist with medical supply ordering
- Complete special projects assigned by our Doc
- Other duties as needed
Hours & Availability
Candidates available part-time or full time hours are invited to apply. While we are flexible, your availability must align with our current working hours:
- Monday: 8:00am - 6:30pm
- Tuesday & Wednesday - 8:30am - 6:30pm
- Thursday & Friday - 9:00am - 5:00pm
- Saturday - 9:00am - 1:00pm (Rotating Saturdays are required)
