Veterinary Technician
Veterinary Technicians! Come join a place that cares about you! We are a hospital in Sunrise, Florida looking for a full-time experienced vet tech who is dependable, reliable, and has a positive attitude.
Previous veterinary experience is required, and technicians should be able to demonstrate proficiency in technical skills, if 100% of the skills listed below are not there, and you are willing to learn this is the place for you!:
- SQ, IM, IV injections
- Run labwork
- Medicate orally
- Place IV catheters
- Maintain fluid therapy
- Answer phones
- Follow treatment sheets, record, and initial treatments given
- Have excellent customer service/client communication & teamwork skills
- Trim nails
- Express anal glands
- Clean and medicate ears
- Ear flush
- Prepare surgical sites
- Remove sutures
- Assist with the induction of anesthesia
- Assist with monitoring anesthesia
- Monitor anesthetic recovery and provide post-op care
- Venipuncture of cephalic, jugular, saphenous
- Perform Dental Cleanings
- Urinalysis, sample collection, and laboratory examination
- Blood chemistries
- Take radiographs, use technique charts
- Prepare and administer vaccines
- Make phone appointments
- Answer phones
- Follow treatment sheets, record, and initial treatments given
- Have excellent customer service/client communication & teamwork skills

- Available weekends and holidays to tend to board animals.
- Leadership and conflict resolution
- Willingness to learn
- Must have flexible scheduling and reliable transportation.
- The job demands constant physical activity, bending, and lifting.
- The selected candidate will contribute to the hospital's cleanness at all times, along with the rest of the team.
- Veterinary Receptionist experience a Plus
- Spanish a Plus
Required experience:
- Veterinary Technician Experience
- Experience with dogs & cats is required; exotic experience is a plus.

- 10 or 6 hours (8-6 pm) shifts Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
- 7 hours shifts Wednesdays and Saturdays
Weekend availability is a must. Flexible availability is preferred.
