What your day may consist of:
Intravenous catheter placement and venipuncture.
Administer drugs (IV, SQ, Oral).
Assists with radiographic procedures.
Perform diagnostic blood, urine, and fecal testing.
Provide care to hospitalized patients.
Manage and process invoices.
Client communication and education.
Admitting and discharging patients.
Answer phones, schedule appointments, and obtain all necessary medical history.
Determine the status of the patient's immunizations and tests.
Fill prescriptions, food requests, and over-the-counter products as instructed by a veterinarian.
Customer focused, with a bright/bubbly/engaging personality to match!
What you'll bring: High school diploma or GED required.
Must have at least 1 year of veterinary medicine experience in a tech/assistant role.
Must be a bright, friendly, and effective communicator in order to communicate with clients, visitors, veterinarians, and other hospital staff. (It's okay if you talk to animals, too!)
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and move freely for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift 50 squirming pounds.
Must be able to work in a veterinary environment with exposure to infection or contagious diseases.
