Job Description - Veterinary Technician for Specialty Veterinary Hospital

Description

Proposed work schedule; Sunday-Wednesday from 8a-6p (Sunday in ER and Monday-Wednesday in Internal Medicine)

We are looking for: Internal Medicine and Emergency Veterinary Assistant

The Internal Medicine team is constantly working with our internists to provide information to our clients regarding patient care, updates and treatments. This is one department that focuses on relationship building as patient care is longer in duration. If you want to combine your love of animals and clients, this is the department for you!

What you’ll do:

Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway).
Manage appointments, obtain histories and update patients information
Accurate and thorough documentation of medical records
Patient discharge and client education

Who you are:

Prior veterinary experience required, previous internal medicine experience desired
Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
