Located in the heart of beautiful southern Maine, our hospital is a leading emergency and specialty center offering services in surgery, internal medicine, oncology, dermatology, neurology, emergency & critical care, cardiology, and more.
We’re currently seeking a full-time Oncology Veterinary Technician or Assistant to join our incredible Oncology team!
This is a rewarding opportunity to be on the front lines of cancer treatment for pets, supporting our board-certified oncologists with procedures, treatments, diagnostics, and compassionate care.
Anticipated Schedule:
Monday-Friday (either Tuesday or Wednesday off): 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Administer medications and chemotherapy as prescribed
Support diagnostics including imaging and lab work
Assist with appointments, patient flow, and maintaining accurate medical records
Communicate with clients and referring veterinarians with empathy and clarity
Provide emotional support and education to pet families during treatment
Work hands-on with patients undergoing chemotherapy and advanced diagnostics
Collaborate with a team of specialists and veterinary professionals across departments
What We’re Looking For:
Licensed or credentialed veterinary technician (or VTS), OR an experienced veterinary assistant
Someone passionate about specialty medicine, especially oncology
Excellent communicator with both clients and medical teams
Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Proficient in technology and medical record systems
