About the Role

As Veterinary Technician Supervisor, your responsibilities will include: 

• Directing work flow on the floor 
• Cultivate an engaging work environment and maintain our strong hospital culture
• Work cohesively with hospital management and supervisory teams to aid in the progression of the hospital
• Help with the interview process for potential new hires and onboard all new associates 
• Assists in the educational development of technicians and their skills 
• Conduct staff meetings
• Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience 
• Mentoring Assistants/Technician within the department 
• Resolve conflicts in a professional and humble manner 
• Refining and implementing protocols
• Ensure that VCA polices, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.

Compensation: $23 - $30 / hr (CVT) and $20 –$23/hr (VA). Based on skill set, experience, and licensure status.

Schedule: Varies during the week, and weekend rotation required.

Being a Veterinary Technician Supervisor means you are a believer in the possibilities of high-quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen. 

Having mastered the entire range of vet tech skills yourself, you are a role model for the team. You will work alongside our Veterinarians, Hospital Manager, and Assistant Manager to provide mentorship, ensure the hospital runs efficiently and fosters a winning environment. 

Qualifications:

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (experienced VA considered)
• 5+ years of clinical experience 
• Team leadership experience
• Passion for Veterinary Medicine 
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
