About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Access Networks to lead the strategic development, deployment, and optimization of last mile access network infrastructure. This pivotal role involves overseeing the design, implementation, and management of network components that ensure reliable and high-performance connectivity for end-users. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving innovation, staying abreast of emerging technologies, and aligning the network strategy with the company's objectives. They will also lead expansion projects, manage vendor relationships, optimize network performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage a budget for network initiatives.Candidates for this role should ideally have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, though it is not a strict requirement, and at least 10 years' of experience in network architecture, design, deployment, or support, with a focus on last mile access networks. Strong leadership and team management skills are essential, as is a proven track record of successfully leading network infrastructure projects. The role demands excellent communication, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, as well as the capacity to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience with regulatory considerations in the telecommunications industry and professional certifications such as CCIE or CCNP are a plus. The position requires occasional travel and will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the alignment of network strategies with business goals.
