Job Description - Vice President - Architecture

Primary Duties: 


Serves under the direction of the CEO to accomplish the company’s Mission and Vision, while promoting the company’s Values, by providing leadership for company Operational, Marketing, Sales, Financial, Human Resources, and Administrative functions.


 


Objectives of this Role:


Collaboratively works with the CEO and the Management team to develop and execute on:



  • Full P & L Responsibility, and maintaining/reporting on company’s overall financial health

  • Develop strategic plans for optimized productivity

  • Define and Report on Key Performance Indicators

  • Review and improve organizational effectiveness by developing processes, overseeing employees, establishing a highly motivated work environment, and creating innovative approaches for improvement

  • Uphold standards of excellence, high quality, and strong customer satisfaction

  • Maintaining existing client relationships while seeking out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business opportunities

  • Provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas

  • Be a Champion of Process and Continuous Process Improvements

  • Support, drive and engage the Employee Culture and Company Values to achieve the company Vision and Mission



Primary Responsibilities: 



  • Operations Management

    • Supervises the Director of Operations in day-to-day business activity

    • In collaboration with Director of Operations supports team with:

      • Reviewing Contracts, sub-consultant agreements, teaming agreements, or other related project documents

      • Provide Design direction input and guidance

      • Provide code compliance guidance

      • Assist with company design and production systems

      • Manage Quality Control Review Systems

      • Support and contributes to ongoing Project Management processes

      • Ensure company maintains secure project documents and files

      • Support and contributes to ongoing Professional Development including but not limited to:

        • Internal Professional Education training

        • External educational opportunities

        • Professional Memberships









  • Business Development

    • Supervises the Business Development and Marketing staff in day-to-day sales or marketing activity

    • Actively engaged with client relationships and will own/drive some of those relationships including prospecting, proposals, and closing on projects contracts

    • Oversees proposal preparation including technical proposals and fee proposals

    • Assist and oversees Business Development activities:


      • Partnering Opportunities/relationships

      • Presentations

      • Marketing – mailings, promotional materials, conferences

      • Proposals and Contracts







  • Human Resources (HR)

    • Supervises the HR Manager in day-to-day HR activity

    • Oversees Staffing decisions and actions including recruiting, performance improvements, and terminations

    • With the Assistance of the HR Manager and Director of Operations, maintains accurate and secure records

    • Ensure Individual Performance and Professional Development Plans are created, communicated, and completed for every team member





  • Administrative

    • Supervises the Office Manager in day-to-day Administrative activity

    • Oversees Business and Legal activities including:

      • Business and Professional Insurance

      • Licenses, both Professional and Business



    • Ensures proper computer hardware and software to meet business needs
