Overview

:
The DevOps Architect works across the organization to automate and accelerate the testing, release, and deployment of enterprise applications into a runtime environment quickly and reliably.
The role requires a deep background in development, operations, testing, and troubleshooting of environment stability issues.
The role requires experience programming and managing high-level language ecosystems such as Python, Java, C#, shell scripts, etc. and other languages for installation, configuration, and provisioning such as Terraform.
The role will establish and employ Continuous Integration and Deployment practices for the Enterprise using cloud-native managed services and DevOps tools.
They must have experience using configuration management automation tools such as Chef, Ansible, or Puppet in creating continuous delivery systems.
They employ Continuous Delivery patterns and collaboratively work with the Change Management Team to achieve successful continuous delivery solutions.
The role will be responsible for mentoring and coaching existing team members.
Must be adept at evaluating complex problems accurately and displaying sound judgment to clearly explain solutions to those complex problems and demonstrate the ability to lead and impart knowledge effectively to staff.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
Educational Background:

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or information Technology is essential.
Architectural Prowess:

Demonstrated capability in architecting, designing, and developing scalable systems and integrations with vendor tools.
DevOps/ALM

: 10+ years of diverse experience in constructing CI/CD pipelines and workflow engines through infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Anthos, ARM, or equivalent). Extensive experience working with modern DevOps architectures and CI/CD stacks (e.g., GitHub, Stash, Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, Mend & UDeploy).
Test Environments:

Experience improving the environment stability in a large organization. Experience building on-demand test environments in cloud. Experience working with Service virtualization tools and processes.
Software Quality Focus:

Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle. Proven history of enhancing software delivery quality in large-scale, complex, and critical systems.
Technology & Vendor Evaluation

Experience assessing various technologies and platforms to determine the most suitable options for the solution.
Test & Monitoring Tools Knowledge:

Experience with a broad range of testing & monitoring tools: Karate, Selenium, JMeter, Gremlin, Delphix, WireMock., ELK Stack etc.
Cloud & Integration Technologies:

Solid hands-on working knowledge of Cloud technologies (AWS & Azure) & Container Platforms (AKS, EKS) in a hybrid environment. Experience working with Integration technologies – APIs, Kafka, Azure Service Bus etc.
Documentation & Regulations:

Proficiency in maintaining test platform architecture documentation and knowledge of data governance practices (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
Analytical Abilities:

Exceptional problem-solving skills with a knack for quickly grasping core business functions and processes.
Communication and Stakeholder Management:

Outstanding facilitation, presentation, documentation, and influencing skills, suitable for engaging both business partners and technologists.
Industry Experience:

Previous experience in the financial sector is advantageous.
What You'll Deliver:
In this role, you'll drive quality engineering strategies and influence the future of technological solutions within the WI division. Through your leadership, innovation, and technical expertise, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and elevating our software quality standards, ensuring the delivery of exceptional value to our clients and stakeholders.
Collaborate with QE/DevOps COE in driving direction of DevOps and Software Delivery processes within the Enterprise.
Work with Enterprise Architecture and application teams in bridging existing and upcoming technologies to the rest of the development community.
Lead the teams in implementation, maintenance, securing, and improving uptime for the DevOps suite that includes pipelines, integrations, monitoring.
