STP Investment Services is seeking an experienced and motivated VP, Business Development to help drive the growth of our Compliance business. This dynamic role offers unlimited growth opportunities and uncapped commission plus a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and progressive environment. 

The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of proven sales experience with Compliance outsourcing to leading institutional advisors, private fund advisors and wealth managers. This includes experience selling to the C-suite of prospective clients as well as operations and technology leaders. A detailed understanding of Compliance operations and technology is essential – as is a strategic understanding of the value of Compliance outsourcing.

Incumbent must have a proven sales track record with small and mid-sized investment managers and funds across the private fund space. Successful candidates will have exceptional communication, presentation, and team skills.  The candidate should be able to design and implement a successful, clear, and metric-driven sales process and consistently meet and exceed target goals.  Self-motivation and the ability to learn quickly and deliver are essential skills and the key to success in our dynamic environment.

  

Essential Functions

  • Act as a true ‘hunter’ in identifying prospective clients
  • Perform extensive lead generation: Continually identify and qualify new sales opportunities through building trusted relationships and maximizing enterprise sales programs, campaigns, and content-driven digital programming
  • Management of the entire sales process from identification of leads, development of opportunities, delivery of presentations and demonstrations to closure 
  • Provide a highly consultative sales approach that enables STP to optimize capabilities in line with client objectives
  • Be the face of STP in the marketplace in direct sales, consultant relations and general industry engagement 
  • Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors
  • Have experience collaborating with a modern marketing team to create brand awareness and drive opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry including deep knowledge of Compliance operations
  • Proven history of exceeding targets in a strategic sales environment and an understanding of complex sales processes
  • Credible service platform and product knowledge and ability to organize meetings at the C-level
  • Maintains a strong referral network with strategic partners and other influencing parties
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with prospective clients & partners via office visits, telephone, conferences, and other events
  • High degree of self-motivation, positive attitude, high energy, and a strong desire to be successful within a career in sales and relationship management 
  • Work in a team environment with subject matter experts to resolve inquiries and close new business.
  • Ability to multi-task & manage sales, marketing, and relationship management initiatives
  • Utilization of HubSpot (CRM) preferred. 
  • Expert high-impact communication and presentation skills
