About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President, Business Development for Federal Security. The successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating new opportunities for security products, identifying industry partners, and meeting with senior executives at various government agencies to understand their strategic objectives and acquisition plans. This role requires a strong knowledge of government operations, particularly the Department of Homeland Security and its related agencies. The VP, Business Development will work to develop sales and product solutions that support and expand the company's presence within the government, including X-ray systems, radiation instruments, and intelligent optical solutions.Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 15 years' in US government agencies or the security industry. Strong communication skills, the ability to work with diverse personalities, and a working knowledge of agency budget and acquisition processes are essential. The role involves maintaining technical knowledge of current and future products, assisting in proposal development, and ensuring customer satisfaction with ongoing programs. The VP, Business Development will also be responsible for defining strategic direction, monitoring contracts, and working with government relations to align priorities.
