About the Role The Company is seeking a VP of Business Development and Strategy to play a pivotal role in the assessment of new and existing markets, analyzing business opportunities, and leading the annual strategic planning process. This executive will be responsible for a range of activities, including market and technology assessments, due diligence, external negotiations, and valuation activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, particularly within the medical devices sector or in a major investment bank with a focus on medical devices. The role involves close collaboration with all business units and major functions, as well as with the Executive Leadership team and the Board of Directors.Candidates for this VP role should have a Bachelor's degree (graduate degree preferred) and a minimum of 10 years in the medical devices field, with at least 5 years of direct business development experience. The position requires a leader with exceptional communication skills, independent critical thinking, and a history of high collaboration. Strong financial modeling and valuation analysis experience is essential. The VP will also be expected to maintain a presence in the company's core markets and technologies, engage with external partners, and work with the Competitive Intelligence & Data Analytics team to conduct market research. The successful candidate will embody the company's values, with a focus on putting patients first, enabling team progress, and challenging the status quo with meaningful innovation.
