About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President to lead its new Center for Career Navigation, which is dedicated to empowering Gen Z learners to successfully transition from education to the workforce. The VP will be responsible for developing and executing a bold strategy that aligns with the organization's mission of driving transformation in the education and workforce systems to achieve equitable economic advancement. This includes creating and evolving the Center's point of view and theory of action, leading market research to identify user needs, and championing innovative solutions for career navigation. The successful candidate will also be expected to cultivate collaborative partnerships, engage in advocacy work, and lead a small team of subject matter experts to ensure the Center's impact.Applicants for the VP role should be innovative leaders with a deep understanding of the career navigation landscape, particularly as it pertains to the Gen Z demographic. Proficiency in product management principles, market research, and fundraising is essential. The ideal candidate will have a track record of success in driving equitable outcomes and addressing systemic barriers to opportunity. They should be adept at connecting people, projects, and resources, and be committed to the values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. A minimum of 20 years of professional experience is typically required, and a background in working with complex organizations is preferred. The role demands a high level of energy, passion for the mission, and the ability to apply the company's core values to all aspects of work.
