About the Role
The Company is seeking a Director for its Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) who will be responsible for providing professional leadership in community relations and public affairs activities. This role involves setting priorities for the local Jewish community relations agenda, overseeing the core work of the JCRC, and addressing issues related to Israel advocacy, antisemitism, government relations, social and economic justice, and interfaith relations. The successful candidate will work in cooperation with the Chief Executive Officer and the JCRC Chairperson, serving as a resource to media, government officials, and community leaders on matters relating to Israel and the Jewish community. The role requires a bachelor's degree and approximately 2-3 years of experience in a relevant field, or equivalent demonstrable work experience, as well as residency in the Toledo area.Applicants must demonstrate excellence in community relations, project management, independent work with consistency and follow-through, collaborative leadership, open-mindedness, and the ability to build coalitions and establish strategic partnerships. Advanced knowledge and experience in combating antisemitism and advocating for Israel are essential. The Director will also be expected to educate and build consensus within the Jewish community, represent the community to public entities, and proactively engage in interfaith and inter-group settings. The position may also include expanded Israel-related duties and participation as an active member of The Company's leadership team.
