Cristo Rey Jesuit High School seeks an entrepreneurial, mission-driven, and externally focused Vice President of Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) to lead one of the school’s most distinctive and impactful programs.

 

Reporting to the President and serving on the Executive Leadership Team, the Vice President is responsible for the strategy, growth, performance, and long-term evolution of the CWSP. This leader will build upon an established program and strong employer network while positioning the program to meet the changing demands of the modern workforce.

 

The Vice President serves as a strategic leader, sales and business developer, partnership builder, and ambassador for Cristo Rey. Working closely with the President, Board, employers, and community partners, the Vice President will drive employer engagement, expand career opportunities for students, and ensure the CWSP remains fully integrated with the school’s academic and formation mission.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Leadership & Program Innovation


  • Develop and implement a multi-year vision and growth strategy for the CWSP.

  • Identify opportunities to evolve the program in response to changing workforce and employer needs, including trends in artificial intelligence, automation, hybrid work, and early-career talent development.

  • Expand student opportunities through new industries, career pathways, and partnership models.

  • Establish and monitor goals related to employer partnerships, job placements, revenue, student outcomes, and program quality.

  • Position Cristo Rey Jesuit High School as a leader in career-connected learning and workforce development.


 

Business Development & Employer Partnerships


  • Own and be accountable for achieving annual sales goals for employer partnerships, student job placements, retention, and earned revenue.

  • Develop and execute a robust business-development strategy in partnership with the President, Board, and Senior Director of Business Development.

  • Personally cultivate, negotiate, and secure significant corporate partnerships while leveraging Board members, alumni, and community leaders to expand opportunities.

  • Oversee a disciplined sales pipeline and foster a culture of accountability, forecasting, performance measurement, and continuous improvement.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employer partners to ensure satisfaction, retention, and growth.

  • Develop innovative solutions that meet employer needs while creating meaningful professional experiences for students.


Team & Program Leadership


  • Provide leadership, coaching, development, and accountability for the CWSP team.

  • Oversee program operations, compliance, employer relations, and performance management.

  • Utilize data, Salesforce, forecasting, and key performance metrics to drive effective decision-making and results.


School Community Engagement


  • Partner closely with academic leadership to ensure workplace learning is integrated into the student experience.

  • Foster collaborative relationships among CWSP, faculty, staff, students, and families.

  • Serve as an active member of the Executive Leadership Team, contributing to schoolwide strategy, enrollment, financial sustainability, culture, and student success.

  • Collaborate with Advancement, the Board, and community partners to identify sponsorship, funding, and partnership opportunities that support Cristo Rey’s mission.


Measures of Success


  • Achievement of annual employer partnership, student placement, retention, and earned revenue goals.

  • Growth and diversification of employer partnerships and meaningful career opportunities for students.

  • Strong employer satisfaction, retention, and expansion of existing partnerships.

  • Development of a high-performing, accountable CWSP team supported by effective use of data and performance metrics.

  • Continued evolution of the CWSP to meet changing workforce needs while strengthening its integration with Cristo Rey’s academic and student development priorities.


 

Qualifications:


  • Commitment to and support of the Catholic and Jesuit mission of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, with a passion for expanding opportunities for young people through education and workforce experiences.

  • Demonstrated cultural competency and the ability to build authentic relationships across diverse backgrounds and communities.

  • Ten or more years of progressively responsible professional experience in business development, sales, corporate partnerships, revenue generation, or related fields.

  • At least three years of leadership experience with accountability for revenue, sales, or partnership growth.

  • Proven success securing, managing, and expanding significant corporate relationships and creating value for employers and students alike.

  • Strategic, entrepreneurial, and innovative mindset, with a record of building, improving, or transforming programs and organizations and an ability to embrace growth and change.

  • Strong leadership, communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills, including the ability to engage Board members, volunteers, and community stakeholders in achieving ambitious goals.

  • Financial and business acumen, with the ability to analyze performance and drive results.

  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams in a collaborative, results-oriented, and fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated commitment to integrating the Corporate Work Study Program into the broader mission and success of the school.

  • Valid driver’s license required; must be able to complete PACE driver certification and other required driver authorization requirements for occasional or emergency support.

  • Knowledge of Chicago’s corporate, civic, philanthropic, or workforce landscape is preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
