Salary Range: $180,000 - $250,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses

Job Summary:

The Vice President in Debt Capital Markets (DCM) will lead the structuring and execution of debt financings across a diverse range of clients and industries. This role requires a deep understanding of debt instruments, market trends, and client needs. The successful candidate will demonstrate a robust track record in financial leadership and an ability to manage complex transactions under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategies for raising capital through debt securities, including corporate bonds, high-yield, and emerging market debt.
  • Lead negotiations with clients, structuring deals that align with their strategic objectives while managing risk.
  • Oversee the production of pitch books and financial models, ensuring accuracy and adherence to market standards.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and strategic advice on market conditions and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including M&A, Syndicate, and Sales, to optimize deal structure and execution.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends and economic indicators to proactively adjust strategies and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards associated with debt offerings.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, enhancing their skills and contributions to the team.
  • Represent the firm at industry conferences and contribute thought leadership in the field of debt capital markets.
Qualifications:
  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in investment banking, specifically in debt capital markets.
  • Demonstrated success in leading debt issuance transactions.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Expert understanding of financial regulations and debt instruments.
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of professionalism and an executive presence.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and tight deadlines.
  • Leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and developing teams.
