About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development to lead a dynamic fundraising team and collaborate with corporate and community leaders to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of fundraising efforts. The successful candidate will be accountable for revenue generation, managing top corporate accounts, and identifying/recruiting volunteer leadership. This role requires operationalizing the vision, managing staff, and implementing strategic priorities, as well as engaging in new business development to grow partnerships. The Vice President will also be responsible for achieving financial targets, driving individual giving and donor engagement strategies, and preparing the operating budget for the region.Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with at least 5 years in non-profit fundraising or outside sales, and 3-5 years leading executive-level volunteers. Additionally, a minimum of 1 year of managerial experience, preferably with fundraising staff, is required. The role demands a strong knowledge of fundraising principles, practices, and techniques, as well as the ability to recruit, train, and encourage top-level donors and volunteers. Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are essential. The candidate should be highly organized, have effective time management, and be willing to work outside of standard hours, including some evenings and weekends. Extensive travel throughout the assigned geographical territory is also a key aspect of the position.
