About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Software Development to lead an international team of talented developers in building eCommerce solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for staff management, mentorship, and oversight, ensuring the technical strategy, delivery, and quality meet client expectations. This role involves owning the development team's technical direction, providing executive leaders with project updates, and identifying key business opportunities. The VP will also support business development and operations through planning, budgeting, and key reporting, and will be a key influencer in the continuous improvement of the company's Agile processes and tools.Applicants for this role should have a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience, with at least 10 years in software development and delivery, particularly leading Agile teams on cloud-based solutions. Technical skills required include hands-on experience with a range of tools such as Azure DevOps, GIT, Azure pipelines, .NET, .NET Core, PHP, SQL, XML, JSON, HTML, JavaScript, and REST/SOAP web services. The ideal candidate will be a thorough and thoughtful communicator, highly organized, and have a strong track record in hiring and retaining top engineering talent. They should be tenacious, with finely tuned troubleshooting abilities, and have exposure to Artificial Intelligence tools and development. People leadership skills, including the ability to coordinate work for a cross-functional team and manage conflict, are essential, as is the ability to build strong relationships and engage stakeholders at all levels.
