About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Engineering to lead and scale their rapidly expanding product offering. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and technical direction, leading the organizational design shift, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to define and execute a cohesive engineering strategy. This role requires a seasoned leader with a proven track record of at least 8 years in leading large engineering functions, particularly in mature platform capabilities. The VP of Engineering will be expected to unblock system or process impediments, support offshoring/outsourcing approaches, and reinvent portfolio and talent management with the People Team and FP&A.As the VP of Engineering, you will be at the forefront of technology trends and industry knowledge, staying abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in platform development, fulfillment systems, and front-end development. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in scalable architecture design, API integration, and cloud-based technologies, with a strong understanding of e-commerce and fulfillment operations. Team management and development are also key aspects of the role, including building and leading a high-performing engineering organization, attracting top talent, and fostering a culture of innovation and professional growth. The role demands an individual with excellent leadership and communication skills, a strategic thinker with a strong business acumen, and the ability to align engineering initiatives with overall business objectives.
