We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Fiduciary to join our Wealth Management team. This role is located in Boston, MA.

 

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Administer and advise the Wealth Management team on the interpretation of key trust provisions, fiduciary duties, and trustee responsibilities.
  • Manage and grow existing client relationships with a strong focus on risk management, while meeting with clients, co-trustees, beneficiaries, and outside advisors.
  • Interpret governing trust documents, identify and escalate fiduciary and compliance risks, and ensure adherence to the highest fiduciary standards.
  • Support fiduciary administration across client relationships, including discretionary and non-discretionary approvals, account maintenance, proxy and statement reporting, and related system updates.
  • Independently pursue new business opportunities and client prospects, generating revenue through self-sourced assets, referrals, and future fee growth.
  • Support complex accounts, estate settlements, and charitable accounts as needed, while assisting more senior team members on more complex matters.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to less experienced team members and the Lead Analyst as needed.

 

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; advanced or graduate degree preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in fiduciary administration, including fiduciary taxation, and managing large client relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of fiduciary practices, policies, procedures, estate settlements, probate administration, and charitable account administration, as applicable.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to work directly with clients, prospects, and legal, tax, and insurance advisors.
  • Self-motivated, consultative, and able to balance business development, client service, risk management, and compliance responsibilities.
  • JD, CTFA or CFP strongly preferred; additional professional designations are a plus.
  • No direct reports; provides guidance and mentorship as needed.
