Responsibilities:
Provides support to the President of the College on facility matters. Works with the Board of Trustees on Facilities Planning Committee. Develops and coordinates the Board Committee Meeting minutes and agendas.
Oversees the Facilities Management contract, Director of Capital Programs, Project Managers and all construction projects and the related design professionals.
Provides oversite for the Facilities Operation Budget of seven and a half million, in addition to multi-million- dollar capital budgets. Works with the Vice-President for Finance and Administration to manage the budget for all capital programs.
Responsible for providing leadership in campus sustainability and Green initiatives. Implements the College Energy demand strategy and infrastructure project.
Oversees and manages utility contracts for the college.
Responsible for facility regulatory compliance and staying current with new regulations.
Responsible for being knowledgeable of outside funding sources and opportunities, i.e. , NYC, NYS Federal Government Grants and Programs.

at internal and external meetings, professional organizations, NYC agencies, governmental agencies, etc.
Develops and coordinates with General Counsel and the Vice-President for Finance and Administration on contracts in the area of professional services and construction projects.
Works with General Counsel in defense of lawsuits and claims against the college. Research claims, assemble documentation, provides depositions and assists in strategy.
Supervises the Director of Capital Programs and Project Managers on project development, design, and management.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and a Professional Engineering License Preferred. Master’s Degree in Engineering a plus. Minimum 10 years’ experience in a senior level facilities position required. High Education experience a plus.
Physical Requirements-(ADA)- Must be mobile, ability to read blueprints.
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be exceptional at collaboration and able to build consensus with internal and external constituents on major capital projects.
