About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Strategic Communications and Marketing. This executive will serve as the chief communications, marketing, and public relations officer, as well as the President's Chief Communications Officer. The role involves overseeing all integrated marketing responsibilities, external relations, and managing the institution's brand to enhance name recognition and prestige. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing multi-channel distribution strategies, collaborating with external vendors, and overseeing campus-wide communications to support the University's student and financial recruitment efforts. Additionally, the VP for Strategic Communications and Marketing will be an advocate for communication initiatives that foster positive relationships with students, alumni, donors, and other stakeholders.Candidates for the Vice President for Strategic Communications and Marketing position should have a strong background in communications, marketing, and public relations, preferably in a higher education or related setting. The role requires experience in crisis communications, brand management, and a proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree preferred, and the ideal candidate will have the ability to lead a team, work with diverse populations, and support the institution's commitment to diversity and inclusion. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external partners.
