About the Role
The Vice President of Human Resources is a strategic leader responsible for aligning all people functions with the organization's mission, vision, and values. This role involves working closely with the CHRO and HR Centers of Excellence to ensure that the company's human resources planning attracts and retains top talent, while also focusing on industry trends, best practices, and standardization across the organization. The VP sets the tone for the employee experience, serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, and advocates for a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment. Key responsibilities include developing staffing strategies, succession plans, and progressive programs for employee motivation and engagement. The VP also plays a critical role in workforce planning, talent management, and ensuring compliance with all HR policies, laws, and regulations.Candidates for the Vice President of Human Resources position should have a Bachelor's degree in business or HR management (Master's preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a management role, particularly in a healthcare setting. The role requires proven leadership, people, and change management experience, as well as strong planning, communication, and organizational skills. The successful candidate will be a key influencer of human capital decisions, with a track record of fostering a positive employee experience and driving performance excellence. Essential functions include evaluating and managing the HR team, providing critical feedback to the CHRO, and ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the group. The VP must also be adept at handling competing timelines and decision-making, and be committed to continuous improvement and professional growth opportunities for individuals within the HR function.
