About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP - ICM Controls to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Institutional Credit Management (ICM) Underwriting business in the identification, monitoring, mitigation, and reporting of operational risks. This role requires a professional with a background in operational risk and controls, who can perform governance functions aligned with the firm's operational risk framework. Experience with underwriting activities and the end-to-end credit process is a plus. The VP will also be involved in the development of strategic solutions to address risks, enhance monitoring controls, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and firm policies.Key responsibilities for this role include establishing sustainable controls and monitoring methodologies, producing and enhancing reporting tools for senior management, collaborating with various teams to investigate and resolve control issues, and developing relationships across the underwriting organization and lines of defense. The ideal candidate should have at least 7 years of experience in the risk and controls domain, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret regulations and policies into logical procedures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is a proactive approach to problem-solving and a demonstrated ability to work on multiple enhancement initiatives. The role offers the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of underwriting activities, work with diverse teams, and contribute to a growing business function.
