About the Role
The Vice President, Marketing and Communications Strategy is a key leadership role responsible for directing and leading the marketing and communications strategy of the college. The focus is on meeting the diverse needs of the college's stakeholders, particularly centered on the student experience and success. This includes the development and execution of a comprehensive, multi-channel communications plan that aligns with the college's mission and vision, and supports strategic enrollment management initiatives. The Vice President serves as the chief counsel on all strategic communications, branding, and marketing matters, and is the chief spokesperson for the college, including being part of the crisis communication team. The role also involves leading internal communications, partnering with academic and enrollment officers to meet enrollment goals, and overseeing marketing and promotional strategies across various media.Candidates for this role must have a Master's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field, with a minimum of eight years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree and twelve years of progressively responsible marketing experience. The individual should demonstrate visionary leadership, exceptional judgment, and strong management skills, as well as a proactive and inspired approach to marketing and communications. Experience in executive-level marketing and communications within a large, complex organization, particularly in the higher education sector, is essential. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of brand and enrollment marketing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders. Proficiency in various software and web-based platforms, as well as strategic planning and budget management skills, are also necessary.
