About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President, National Accounts to join their dynamic team. This strategic leadership role is pivotal in setting and executing sales programming, brand pricing strategies, and brand-building initiatives. The successful candidate will have a passion for the beverage alcohol industry, particularly wine, and a proven track record of meeting aggressive growth targets. With a focus on the national brands portfolio, the VP will be responsible for developing near and long-term strategies, overseeing the execution of sales programs, and ensuring the National Accounts team delivers sales and profit growth within budget. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of the US wine and spirits industry, its trends, products, and competitive landscape, as well as the ability to build and nurture relationships with the largest US retailers.Applicants must have at least 15 years of sales experience in the beverage alcohol industry, with a minimum of 10 years in the wine sector, and a BA in business administration, sales, marketing, or equivalent experience (an MBA is preferred). The role demands a self-starter with the ability to lead, inspire, and coach teams, and a willingness to maintain a heavy travel schedule. Key skills include a deep understanding of the industry, thoughtfully nurtured relationships with beverage alcohol buyers at leading national retail chains, and experience in multiple retail channels.
