Position Overview
We are seeking a Vice President of Clinical Operations to serve as the clinical leader of the organization. This role operates in a dyad partnership with the VP of Business Operations, ensuring alignment between clinical excellence and operational performance.
You will be responsible for clinical quality, patient safety, provider performance, and regulatory compliance across all service lines.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership
Establish and oversee clinical standards, protocols, and SOPs
Ensure consistency and quality of care across all locations
Talent & Workforce
Lead hiring of clinical staff, including Medical Directors and providers
Oversee credentialing and clinical performance management
Quality & Compliance
Ensure compliance with NCCHC, state, and federal regulations
Lead clinical incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis
Co-lead HIPAA/privacy program
Field Operations
Maintain strong field presence (60–70%)
Conduct clinical audits, chart reviews, and staff coaching
Training & Development
Oversee clinical onboarding and competency-based training
Drive adherence to protocols and standards of care
What We’re Looking For
Strong clinical leadership experience in multi-site healthcare environments
Background in correctional health, occupational health, or similar settings preferred
Ability to balance clinical excellence with operational execution
Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-accountability environments
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Nursing, PA Studies, or related clinical field
Active, unrestricted clinical license in North Carolina (RN, NP, or PA)
8+ years of healthcare experience with progressive leadership responsibility
Must be able to travel to clinics for on-site clinical supervision and support.
