About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Communications to join their team. This senior leadership role involves developing and implementing an integrated strategic communications plan to enhance the organization's brand identity, increase program visibility, and foster relationships with key stakeholders, including the media and influencers. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the organization's communications activities, serving as a spokesperson, and overseeing the creation of various communication products such as print publications, web content, and social media. The role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior management position, a Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field (advanced degree preferred), and a proven track record in strategic communications, media relations, and marketing.The ideal candidate should be an innovative thinker with excellent writing and editing skills, capable of translating strategic thinking into action plans. They must have superior management skills, the ability to influence and engage with peers, and the confidence to gain credibility and respect from both internal and external leaders. The role demands a self-reliant, results-oriented individual with exceptional communication skills and a passion for the mission of The Company. The Vice President of Communications will work closely with the President and senior management team, contributing to the organization's strategic planning process and serving as a communications counselor.
