Job Description - Vice President of ERP Transformation-Manufacturing

What You Will Do:
The Vice President of ERP Propel Business Transformation reports to the VP Global Transformation and will matrix report to the GP VP of Finance/CFO. The VP of ERP Propel Business Transformation will lead an enterprise business core team and matrixed business teams across the organization. This role is responsible for driving business value realization, leading process standardization, serving as a champion for organizational change strategy & execution, for Global Products as well as co-leading an enterprise-wide data operational COE. The program is a global multi-year initiative with a projected investment of $250M+ and an estimated 6,500 users. The program comprises the following major scope items:

This critical role is a change agent dedicated to driving compelling communications and cultural change. This includes gaining buy-in from the Global Products senior leadership team, negotiating deployment scope and schedules, and leading teams of business transformation leaders responsible for overall process standardization/improvement and adoption by the business teams. Partnering with senior leaders in the GP organization (president, general managers, VP of Global Manufacturing, CFO, CPO, CIO), this role is responsible for championing standardization and adoption of the S4 Hana foundation comprising global template and target operating model. This role is also responsible for managing a rationalized and optimal template localization. This role encompasses developing the subsequent deployment roadmaps aligned to the GP business strategies.
How You Will Do It:
Leadership:
Lead and motivate a large, diverse group of business executives and project team members (~50) which impact 25,000 Global Products employees

Manage effective interaction with Global Product’s senior leadership team (Executive Sponsorship governance team) and Program IT delivery and PMO

Serve as co-lead with Global Products CIO owning and coordinating performance of all business aspects (process, change management, training, learning and development) of the transformation

Serve on the enterprise-level ERP sponsorship group with JCI’s CIO, VP Global Transformation, GP CIO, Fusion CIO, VP of Fusion ERP Business Transformation

Work directly with JCI’s CFO and CIO on deployment plans, budgets, resource requirements (external support), risks, and mitigations when necessary

Able to build support to drive alignment across various stakeholder groups from the president to day-to-day users

Articulate clear and concise messages which effectively communicate program status and needs

Develop strong network and support of functional and business unit stakeholders

Communication:
Drive effective execution of ERP Communication strategy across all stakeholder groups partnering with the Enterprise Organizational Change Management team

Represent business domain, regional and functional requirements in the ERP Transformation Program

Governance of Artifacts - makes sure Process is governed by through leading Change Board and ensuring process is extensively socialized with ERP deployment teams, Central COEs and Global Products business owners

Organizational Change:
Champion the execution of the ERP Organizational Change strategy across all stakeholder groups

Partnering with OCM leadership, act as the Change Champion and drive change introduced by the ERP Program through to all levels in the organization

Define and sponsor business process change and capability investments, which continuously increase the maturity of the process and sustain each level of maturity

Working with the Corporate Learning & Development team, ensure development and governance of Training strategy and execution - Ensure process operators have the training and resources to do their jobs effectively

Synchronize process improvement plans with specific business process owners within the value chain and other interfacing processes

Process:
Represent business domain, regional and functional requirements in the ERP Transformation Program

Lead deployment process owners to manage process governance and define the level of process standardization for ERP functions, including (but not limited to) Order to Cash, Plan to Deliver, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, Plan to Fulfill, and Data Management

Using Target Operating Model, this role is responsible for ensuring deployment process owners define end to end business process maps for all business domains, regions and functions and create a common ERP business process template. This includes deployment process owners ensuring Confluence documentation remains updated and aligned with company’s processes evolvement

Working with the ERP Enterprise Central team and Fusion VP ERP Transformation Leader, this role is responsible to lead Propel Global Change Control to monitor and document process governance

Lead deployment process owners to Map existing business processes into the new ERP capabilities and identify gaps

Manage deployment process owners to implement new business processes and ensure successful adoption by the end-users

Ensure deployment process owners monitor and report process performance against KPIs and health versus plans

Synchronize process improvement plans with specific business process owners within the value chain and other interfacing processes

Ensure consistent, high quality, and appropriately detailed process designs, including the correct business requirements

Deployment:
Provides consultation and advisory support to business partners, IT leadership, application owners and peer groups regarding long and short-range deployment alternatives to meet business objectives

Define the benefits that will realize the strategic objectives of the program. Lead development of the benefit realization plan

Manage “business continuity” during the change by preparing the affected business areas for transition to the new way of working

Accountable for the data migration approach and integration planning and execution

Represent business domain, regional and functional requirements in the ERP Transformation Program

Define the process mission, vision, tactics, goals, objectives, KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and the measures aligned with the organization strategies

Synchronize process improvement plans with specific business process owners within the value chain and other interfacing processes

Data Operational COE:
In support of the Enterprise long term strategy, the VP of ERP Propel Business Transformation will co-lead the Enterprise Data Operational COE strategy, planning, business case and management in partnership with the head of enterprise data strategy as well as relevant senior leaders across the enterprise. This is an Enterprise responsibility which comprises Global Products and Field business units. Among others, this role is responsible for the following activities:
Scope definition and corresponding documentation of Target Operating Model

Define, socialize and get management buy-in, including transition plan

Business case preparation and socialization. Obtain Executive approval and pass related CAR review and approval

Define and lead ERP deployment teams in all aspects of data extraction, harmonization and conversion to ensure smooth ERP deployments

Data COE resource planning, headcount approval, recruitment and employee training

Define data governance for core master data elements for the enterprise

Define and establish data governance team - this is critical in my opinion, but open for feedback

This role includes all operational Data domains: Vendor, Customer, Contract, Employee
What We Look For:
A successful candidate will possess the following skills and behaviors:
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; ability to scale information and convey with a succinct, focused communication style.

Proven experience leading large, global initiatives spanning multiple business units across senior executive partners navigating conflict and developing consensus

Proven organizational change and cultural change management experience

15+ years of experience in various roles such as Manufacturing, Distribution, and other Functions (e.g., finance) including leadership or management responsibilities

Well versed with general policies, procedures and standards for manufacturing, distribution and financial processes

Experience leading and participating in project teams in a matrixed environment

Global professional experience with awareness of legal / regional requirements in Americas,European, Middle East and Asia Pac countries

Ability to travel domestically and internationally, if required

Large scale system implementation is a plus

Strong ERP experience. SAP experience is a plus

Experienced in business case development and value realization

Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma
