Position Overview:
The Vice President for Finance under the direct supervision of the President is responsible for overseeing the overall financial management of the College. The incumbent works with other senior vice presidents to develop strategies to allocate resources to achieve maximum goals for the institution. Specifically, the job duties and responsibilities for the position include the following:
Key Responsibilities:

Oversees and manages the institution’s cash resources to ensure proper management.
Develops risk management strategies, including acquiring adequate insurance for all risks.
Works with the investment consultant to ensure that the College’s portfolio is yielding maximum results.
Works with banks and other financial institutions to secure loans when needed.
Serves as a staff person on Board Committees—Audit & Legal, Buildings & grounds and Finance.
Works with others in the developing the annual institutional budget.
Works with College’s auditors to ensure completion and filing report to outside entities.
Recruits, trains and supervises accounting staff.
Ensures the production of accounting reports for internal and external users.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the President.
