Overview:
The Vice President of Domestic and International Sales has oversight of sales through all channels of business including Ecommerce, Specification, and Wholesale Distribution. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of achieving results within multiple channels of business and established design contacts within domestic and international commercial lighting sales channel.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and successfully implement a strategy to increase business within the US and internationally.
Provide guidance and leadership to the Global Sales Team. Lead Executive Directors in achieving sales goals within all sales channels.
Provide insight and guidance on innovative new product development, including certification needs within international markets.
Partner with WAC Lighting’s global sales and business development teams to build and manage a robust multi-channel sales enablement strategy.
Develop and enhance relationships with lighting designers and architects within the international lighting community.
Identify issues, channel conflicts, and challenges and collaborate to satisfactory resolution in a timely manner.
Work with the leadership team to review WAC Lighting’s strategy, policy development, budget cycles, and collaborative negotiation for resources annually.
Drive field market research and provide well thought out new product ideas including target market, suggested price points and anticipated sales forecast.
Work with global product and purchasing teams to identify cost associated with development of each product, analyzes ROI and makes recommendations on products worth moving forward.
Manage within approved expense, returns and discount budgets.
Requirements For Consideration:
Bachelor’s Degree required in Business Management or related field of study.
15+ years Sales Leadership experience within highly technical, domestic and global commercial lighting organizations.
Strong relationships and contacts within the domestic and international specification community.
Ability to articulate a proven track record of successful sales results.
Direct experience and expertise in managing and driving multiple competing sales channels.
Familiarity with current emerging electronic technologies and or control platforms.
Strong executive presence with the ability to effectively articulate complex organizational messages at the most senior levels.
Demonstrated effectiveness in stakeholder management with agility in influencing with authority - ability to hold the line internally and externally when necessary.
